I've never seen anything like that before!
I love Hailey! She says things every day that just make me laugh. Early this morning I was driving in the car with Hailey when she gasped for air and said, "Mom look, Mom look, I see some blue sky. I've never seen anything like that before!" She really was so excited to see a sliver of blue sky behind all the clouds and inversion. Poor girl, it must seem like it has been winter for her whole little life long. She let everyone that day know she saw a blue sky, her cousin, the UPS guy, her dance teacher. It was cute!

Rock Climbing
I have a great video of Hailey climbing but I am not computer savvy and don't know how to post it. Help?

Rock Climbing must run in the family! My Mom and Bruce came to visit us and we went to a climbing gym. Hailey saw the walls and started climbing right away. I tell ya, that girl has no fear- which completely scares me! We were in the boulder room where the floors feel like gymnastics mats and people climb without a harness. Hailey loved it. She found her favorite route and climbed it probably 18 times until her legs started to shake. She sure slept great that night.

The Shrink Fairy!
Santa brought Hailey a 12 inch Shamu that she just loves. The other day Hailey found a Shamu in her room that is 6 inches long, it is one that I got when I was little. Anyway, Hailey came running out of her room holding my little Shamu and said, "Mom look, my Shamu shrunk!" Of course Bub jumped all over the opportunity to play a little game with Hailey. Bub told Hailey that the Shrink Fairy came by and made Shamu little and she would come back soon and make Shamu big again. So it has been almost a month of this and the game is still going on strong. Today, Shamu was big and Hailey really wanted to bring it to church but it did not fit in her church bag. Soon after I told Hailey she could not bring Shamu, I found her saying a prayer- to the Shrink Fairy!!! So the game has ended, such a sad day for Bub, Hailey really was not that sad because now she has two Shamu's. Hopefully she will not be praying to the Shrink Fairy anymore. :)

Boy or Girl?
Bub, Hailey and I went to the OB/GYN to have an ultrasound done. It was so cool to get to see our baby moving around. Hailey loved to figure out what we were looking at whether it was and arm, leg, or foot. Then we got to the baby's face- and she lost it! Apparently she did not think it looked like a baby's face. It needed a bottle and a Binky! She kept on asking me if I was okay and she let me know she thinks we should get "that" out of my belly now! The next morning, Hailey woke up and said, " I know what's in your belly, it's a spider."
We decided to not find out if we are having a boy or girl! We are excited to be surprised as long as it is not a spider!

Sunny San Diego!
My parents took my family to San Diego for Christmas...and yes it was sunny and a little rainy but tons of fun!!! The resort we were at was right on the beach and when it rained we managed to have lots of fun inside. Bub and Bruce played and played at the free arcade and we stayed hyper.
We told Hailey she could get a stuffed animal after the Shamu show at Sea World and she picked this crooked toothed walrus. It is like her baby, she loves it!
Mission Bay Beach
My favorite temple!

We got to go on a tour of the USS Midway Aircraft carrier. It was amazing! I wanted a picture by this huge statue and yes, Hailey is trying to get in on the action.
Ya, so we found out this beach was unaccessible.
The boys!
It was sunny this day and so this is our best family picture! Like it?
Smile!

Such a good helper!
We were all so excited to put up our Christmas decorations and Hailey was a great helper! We just had to redecorate the tree once she was asleep. It was so fun last year to watch her get excited about hearing Santa on the roof at Grandma Sandra's home. This year has already been tons of fun. This girl loves the Christmas season. She is a little confused about the "Sub for Santa" program. We got a present for a little girl and Hailey helped pick it out but once she realized that it was for someone else she said, "How about I keep this present and then Santa can just bring the little girl a present." She gave it up once we explained it better to her.A new calling-
I just got called to be the 14-17 year olds Sunday school teacher along with one of my friends in our ward. It is kind of funny, this is the same group of kids that Bub and I have taught since they were 11 years old in primary and now Bub has them in Young Mens and I will have them in Sunday school. Poor kids!

Thanksgiving!!!
We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!! We spent the day in Utah County with my family, the Wilson's. We had a lot of fun. The greatest part was getting to my family what we are thankful for.
We let this picture of Hailey announce it to the Longenecker family! Yes, it is true. We are going to have a baby headed our way around May 31st.

Santa's Elbows
Two great stories in one:
Since time out, no toys, no treats, no Dora, or Mom is going to give your toys to some other little girl.... is not working out so well for us anymore, we have turned to Santa. (I really don't like Santa he takes all the credit but whatever.) We now remind Hailey that Santa's elves are watching to see if she is being good or bad and that they will let Santa know if she should get any presents for Christmas. This has worked pretty well until of course Christmas is over. Anyway, the other day Hailey was playing in her room while I was busy finishing some work in the living room. Of course it got quiet and that means trouble. She came out and poked her head around the corner and said, "Mom, ummm just so you know, Santa's elbows are not watching me right now, -k-." ( We have tried to tell her that the elves are like little people, Santa's helpers, but she tells us we are wrong and that no, it is his elbows that watch us.) Turns out Hailey had colored all over her body with markers. Then Hailey tells me, "Did you know Santa's elbows only watch me when I help clean up."
