Even Kids Need Pockets!

I had left for work before Hailey was awake which means Bub was in charge of getting Hailey dressed and ready before he took her to the babysitter. Bub is actually really good at this, he has the ponytail business down. The other day I went to pick Hailey up and found her rolling down a grassy hill, her hair was all over the place. I figured her ponytail just fell out while she was rolling around. As I go to put Hailey in her car seat she starts to tell me that, "Hailey took her hair out and put the "band" in a safe place so I don't loose it." I'm going to buckle her in when she started saying, " No, no, no, you are going to squish it!" Squish what? Just then Hailey stands up pulls down her pants and undies and says, "Look, its a really safe place." Sure enough, there was Hailey's small rubber band for her hair, in her underwear. I guess thats a clue that my kid may need some shorts with a (safe place) pocket!

My Dad finished his first round of chemotherapy and radiation one month ago and recently had a MRI done to see the results. It is an amazing feeling to know that God listens to prayers and everyone's faith really makes a difference. The results showed no visible trace of the cancer! Our greatest hope has become a reality, the treatments are working! There still may be microscopic cancer cells that need to continue to be managed and stay under control. Because of this, my Dad will continue to take chemo drug that is 5x's stronger than what he has been taking previously, but this time around, he takes it for 5 consecutive days out of a month. This will continue on a month to month basis with an MRI to continue to monitor the cancer every 3 months.

Dad, I love you so much! I am thankful to you for being an amazing man of God, for being physically healthy to help in such great recovery, for being an awesome Dad, and for being one of the most important and influential people in my life. LOVE YA! I am also thankful to my Heavenly Father, our Savior, and all of you who have prayed on my Dad's behalf!
