Success- I win!

                                                                Success- I win!
Hailey has been going to a new school this year called Pine Crest Academy.  She has some awesome friends from our ward that go to school there too.  Lucky for me, we get to carpool and it's the best thing ever.  Little Mia thinks she is a park of the big girl crowd.  It makes her happy so we let her think she is big.  These girls like to have play dates after school on Fridays so they are still in school clothes.  They look adorable.  I love having my home full of kids, it's a great feeling and my girls love it!
Oh how I love this girl!  She melts my heart everyday and says the funniest things.  Recently Mia decided she was done with her baby blanket.  The blanket had seen much better days and was barely hanging together.  Mia walked up to me one day and said, "I want to put my blanky in the garbage."  So I took advantage of the moment and we put it in the big garbage outside.  She was happy for a few days until she decided she wanted it back.  Then she adopted her lamb and now "Lamby" goes everywhere with Mia.

On Veteran's day we all went to the Nellis Air Force Base for an amazing air show.  We loved it.
Hailey loved the tricks the airplanes were doing.  We both got scared a few time that the planes were going to crash.  I feel like this little lady is a fun friend now and she is growing up so so fast.  I used to be sad that she is not a toddler anymore but now she is so much fun in a whole new way.  We love our Hailey!

Hailey at her end of the season soccer party.    Half of the girls on this team used to be on Hailey's team last season that Bub coached.  It has been fun to see them all grow so much.  Watching Hailey play soccer is so much fun.  She is a talented and smart player and her movements are looking more natural.  She is pretty awesome!
Oh yes, and Mia always thought she was on the team too.

Thanksgiving was a fun time.  Bub's parents came down and we all had Thanksgiving up at his brother's home in  North Vegas.  Then the next day my Mom, Bruce and Austie come down to visit us.  It was so awesome to have everyone here.  We also got an awesome gift from my Mom- a piano.  Hailey is excited to learn how to play the piano and I am hoping to relearn.  I am so excited to have music in our home once again.
It's that time of year and I love it.  I love seeing the girls so excited about Christmas.  They can barely hold in their excitement when we go to a store and there is a Salvation Army donation bucket.  They get a kick out of telling complete strangers Merry Christmas.  I am so happy to be blessed with my family here on earth and up in heaven.  I'm so thankful for our Savior, and the gospel.  I am counting my blessings........

This is Halloween

Our Halloween celebrating lasted about 2 weeks.  Hailey's school had an amazing Trunk-or-Treat and we signed up to decorate our car and hand out candy.  Hailey had an amazing time with her friends, The Ryan girls and enjoyed all the festivities while Mia and I passed out the candy.  Mia thought she was pretty cool and kept saying, "This is so fun!"
There was a Trunk-or-Treat, a Haunted house, and DJ and dancing party, (Hailey was chosen to go on stage-pretty exciting for that girl), bounce houses, and an art n' crafts room.  Bub missed out on this because he was at his very first OBGYN Residency Interview in Michigan- Yay!  It was a good day for everyone.  After the party we went to the airport to pick Bub up and we were still dressed in our costumes.  Funny thing- we didn't really stand out because lots of people dress crazy in Vegas.
Mia was Minni Mouse and Hailey was The Little Mermaid.  We had a fun ward Trunk-or-Treat, with Chilli and activities.  Hailey's mermaid costume did not make it through the night.
Mia had a fun Halloween party with some kids from the ward.
Bub was with us all day on Halloween and it was awesome.  We took Mia to a Rec Center Halloween morning with some friends to do some trick-or-treating and to play on bounce houses.  I love this picture of Bub and Mia.  I think they really do look alike.

Melynda, Hailey, and I, hanging out on Halloween. I love these girls, we have done our time here in Henderson together and I am sad to think that it is going to come to and end in a couple of months.  I wish we could all do residency right next door to each other.  This is our 4th Halloween in Henderson and I still feel confused by the weather.  It is fun and odd at the same time to wear shorts and flip flops as you take the kids out that day.  I sure do love the Fall weather!  I
Hailey became a black cat after her mermaid costume come to an end.  Mia sang, "this is Halloween, this is Halloween, halloween, halloween," all day.

31 and Counting

Bub turned 31 years old!  I love this man.  He is such a great husband and and amazing Dad.  We are so glad we got to spend the whole day with Bub and play, play, play.  Bub has been super busy this month with working in the ER (which is crazy by anyone's imagination), and going to interviews for residency.  We cherish our time that we do get with him.

The PHAST- There is a first time for everything

After lots of training I completed my first sprint triathlon.  It was so much fun!  I think I have the racing fever.
I felt lucky to be able to train on the same trail and aquatics center where the race would be held since it was basically in our backyard.
It is not a secret that I am not a swimmer.  Not only that, but swimming is down right scary to me.  I grew up boating on Utah Lake and we were always on the water.  Never ever do I remember ever being in the water without my life vest. The water there scared me, it was so dark you could not see through the water at all.  I was so scared that if I went under the water nobody would ever find me.
I signed up for this race knowing it would be a blast but also because I knew it was time to face my fears and get over them.  I don't want to be scared to take my girls swimming because I don't know how to swim and I could not save them if they were in trouble.  So I did it.  I signed up, payed the money and trained like crazy. I went to the pool a couple times a week. I went from not being able to sleep at night because I was scared to swim the next morning, to not even being able to swim a half a lap, to swimming 700 yards.  28 laps total.
I finished the race in 5th place out of the women finishing at 1hr and 48 min.  The race was a 700 yard swim, 13 mile bike ride, and 5k.  Thanks to my sweet friend Megan for encouraging me to sign up and giving me some swimming lessons, and to my sweet hubby for supporting me.  Hailey and Mia-anything is possible if you just put your mind to it and work hard.  Love you girls!

9 Years and Counting

I love this man!  We have a an awesome 9 years together and forever will me amazing with Bub by my side.
I decided I wanted to take Bub on a day date this year for our anniversary.  We headed over to Lake Las Vegas and rented a paddle boat and hung out on the lake for a while then we went and had some yummy Mexican food.  Our date got even better when we went and saw the show Wicked.  Wicked was amazing.  After the show we went and had some frozen yogurts and headed back home to spend time as a family.  We had a great time together and we will take any minute we can spend with each other and the girls.  It is a good life and we are blessed.

The Wedding

It was a busy day in August at the Timp Temple.  We waited outside for Eliza and Brad to come out so we could start celebrating.  The little girls could not wait to see Eliza and peeked into the temple to see if Eliza was coming.

Congrats to the Newlyweds.  It was a beautiful day!
                                                                       My Cute Mia
                                                               Eliza and Brad Bishop

I had to post these pictures of the girls.  They make me laugh.  I wish Hailey and Mia could make a crazy face in the same picture.  I wouldn't mind having one good picture and one silly one.

                                                         Austie & Vanessa-Sister-in-Laws
Eliza wanted to have a backyard reception and it was beautiful.
Ashley & Megan- Eliza's friend but also like sister-in-laws or family in some way.
                                                                 Me & my Mom
Hailey was so so so excited that she caught the bouquet.  The rest of the night she kept on saying she is going to be the next one to get married and she probably will be on the Wilson side of the family.

Random not so great picture.  Just wanted the girls to know that we are always around its just the we are usually the ones taking the pictures of our girls.
